DAGO HOUSE

Urban Alley proposed to address this challenge by providing clear arranged community spaces and 181 rooms for 362 students while also prevent the loss of ‘green’. We inserted a new function into building that act as an alley of a dense horizontal resident. By doing this, we created a similar sense of living horizontally which is suitable for the inhabitants to gather and join community. Those alleys interconnected by a ramp for each level.

Living vertically means saving the green area, which is good but in the other hand it also could reduce social interaction because the lack of community spaces. What we propose intended to change the society mindset from living horizontal into vertical, from living in a small rented houses into a vertical rented houses that has the same intensity of social interaction as the horizontal one.
